Predominantly we carry out Patios, Driveways and Fencing relating directly to other construction works we are carrying out on site. A firm favourite patio material is Indian Sandstone sometimes with a granite block edging. Driveways are usually block paved or shingle. Shingle is permeable thus aiding drainage and works well in the Forest as it blends well with the natural surroundings. Using a honeycomb grid system ensures the material moves far less and makes it much easier to walk and drive on. Where there are tree roots to consider then a root protection system can be installed. Block paving and tarmac tend to be more suited to suburban driveways.
As you would expect the groundworks are essential in order for us to start on site with site clearance, foundations, foul and surface water drainage, French drains and Sewage treatment plants (septic and cesspools too). We also like to finish a project off completely and this involves the patios, pergolas, paths and driveways. Block paving or honeycombed grid system with gravel tend to be the most popular types of driveways. We can also help with planting out shrubs and turf but tend not to get too involved with selecting the Latin named plants for you!

We are retained by the New Forests leading private school Walhampton to carry out their building projects. Working within tight timescales to ensure the school is ready to use at the end of each term time break. A recent commercial project was a very high end refurbishment for Rathbones PLC in Lymington High Street where we, as their New Forest building contractors, achieved a superb finish to meet their exacting standards.
